    Traffic Studies

    RLA’s market forecasts are not confined to its’ regular subscriber series. Much of the data and models used in these services are utilised in specific studies for individual Clients and supplemented as necessary by further detailed research and modelling.

    Challenge:

    Prior to the expansion of the Panama Canal, the Panama Canal Authority and other interested parties commissioned a number of studies to determine the viability of the project.

    Solution:

    RLA was involved in three such studies which between them looked at the potential long term traffic flows that might be generated in the period to 2050, toll pricing and the possible development of the world fleet by type and size. These studies covered all commercial ship types.
